Dopo i buoni ascolti ricevuti, Grantchester e' stata rinnovata per una una seconda serie.
Grantchester creata dal romanziere James Runcie e' scritta da Daisy Coulam (che tornerà a scrivere la seconda serie) e trattera' le storie del secondo romanzo di Runcie "Grantchester Mysteries", Sidney Chambers and the Perils of the Night.
Grantchester Series 2 entrera' in produzione a Londra e Grantchester, il pittoresco villaggio Cambridgeshire, nel 2015.
Sullo sfondo della frazione di Grantchester , si concentra la vita di Sidney Chambers, un carismatico , affascinante sacerdote che diventa un vicario investigativo
