ITV : David Threlfall e John Simm faranno parte del cast   del nuovo dramma della  ITV, Code Of A Killer. Code Of A Killer è basato sulla vera storia della scoperta del DNA fingerprinting di Alec Jeffreys David Threlfall avra' il ruolo di David Baker, che tra il 1983 e il 1987 diresse le indagini sugli omicidi brutali di due studentesse del Leicestershire, Lynda Mann e Dawn Ashworth. John Simm interpreta il dottor Alec Jeffrey, uno scienziato presso l'Università di Leicester che, il 10 settembre 1984 inventò la  tecnica  per leggere le impronte digitali ( DNA fingerprinting ). E' la storia di  adolescente che ammette  uno dei due  omicidi. Baker chiede a  Jeffreys di analizzare la prova del DNA nelle scene del crimine rimanendo  scioccato nello scoprire che il ragazzo non e' il colpevole e la sua confessione falsa. Baker inizia  cos i' la caccia  all'uomo , testando più di cinquemila uomini locali per rintracciare l'assassino. Il cast comprendera' anche   Lorcan Cranitch (Penny Dreadful), Robert Glenister (Spooks), Siobhan Redmond (Between The Lines), Anna Madeley (Sense & Sensibility), Dorothy Atkinson (Call The Midwife), Andrew Tiernan (The Great Fire), Jaz Deol (Restless Dust), Hannah Walters (Whitechapel), Lydia Rose Bewley (The Inbetweeners) and Ged Simons (Downton Abbey). Entrambi in pensione il professor Sir Alec Jeffreys e l'ex sovrintendente capo David Baker hanno dato il loro contributo al dramma. It is slated to begin filming in late September 2014, then air on the ITV network. Set in 1984, Detective David Baker leads an investigation of the vicious murders of the two Leicestershire schoolgirls, Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth. Alec Jeffreys at the time was an ambitious scientist who uncovered a remarkable method to read each individual's unique DNA finger print. Convinced the murderer was local, Baker approached Jeffreys to utilise his newly discovered science method as a way to solve the murders.
